Cooper Performance built Sebastian Domingo’s 1300cc Suzuki engine that won the 2004 AMI Brute Horsepower Shootout at Daytona Beach Florida in March. Sebastian added a turbo and tuned the engine to make 514 horsepower on AMI’s CycleDyn.
Arcane Motorsports/NLR , Hank Booth and operator Christer Johansson, all of Great Falls, Montana, traveled to Valdosta, Georgia this past weekend to spin the dyno scales just over 701 horsepower in the first Dynojet Horsepower Challenge. Booth modified a 1999 Suzuki 1300GSXR Hayabusa motorcycle to run methanol and a NLR turbocharger to compete in the inaugural Dynojet Horsepower Challenge. Booth and his operator also entered the second place winner, another Hayabusa pushing the scale to 606HP with Cooper Performance engines.
Team NLR / DME came out swinging at the Velocity Spring Bike Open at Rockingham Dragway on March 24th-25th. Dimey Eddinger and Andy Sawyer of DME Racing in Winston Salem, North Carolina had a busy winter building new bikes for the 2007 season for their customers and had to put their own Pro Sportbike on the back burner so they could take care of their customers first. As the first MIROCK event approached, they retro-fitted their Pro Sportbike with new bodywork from Catalyst Racing and a new paint job from former Outlaw Pro Street Racer Craig Hartless. The team also has a new engine program with Cooper Performance. Cooper Performance has a track record that speaks for itself. They are the exclusive engine builder and cylinder head specialist for NLR Turbo Systems and that's in itself says a lot. Sebastian Doming of NLR says " I only use what I feel is the best for our bikes and our customers bikes and Cooper Performance has proven themselves time after time with me.
